Short Stories

I have written a lot of short fiction during the fall and early winter of 2019, but as all the stories are under consideration in various places, I can't post them here. In time, though.

This is excellent, it really is.

Most people cry. Sorry about that.

Given that The Lancet is an esteemed medical journal, it was a shock to be a winner in their medical-based fiction contest.

Now I regret not editing this piece...

SANGUINARIA

A deliciously bizarre short-short.

Previously published in Alcyone, but you have

to pay to read it. Click the icon below for free.

MEDICINE CABINET

Brief vignettes inspired by product labels. Childish and madcap, they are a quick read. Previously published in Interrobang.

SPARE CHANGE

A Love Story. Tragic, sweet.

Not my best work, but OK.

VEGAN NECROMANCY

Harry Potter meets PETA.

Super-short; just a nugget.

TRUTH COMMISSION REPORT

ON THE THREE PIGS

Further silliness. From 2004.

Winner of Mensa Writers Contest (3rd Prize of course).

Previously published.
